Information Processes and Technology (IPT)

 

IPT stands for Information Processes and Technology and the purpose of this TAS subject is mostly to understand on how the any information system fuctioned, which definitely is seen through the seven information processes,

2)Organising data

3)Analysing data

4)Processing data

5)Transmitting and receiving Data

6) Displaying Data

7) Storing and Retrieving Data

 

Information processes is done throughout:

a)Computer method

b)Non-computer method

 

Information system are including :

1)Computer

 

2)Walkie talkie

 

3)Telephone

 

4) Keyboard

 

5) Break pedal

 

6) USB drive

 

 

In this subject the students are expected to:

 

1) Understand the function and how an information system works.

 

2) Learn the relationships of information process.

 

3) Social and Ethical issues associated with information systems.

 

4) To understand the historical context of information systems.

 

5) Appropriate selection and use of resources and tools to support information systems.

 

6) To understand the techniques to be creative while designing and implement information systems.
