Information and Software Technology (IST)

 

Information and Applied Studies is a subject where the students are to learn more about the history of computing in addition to the basics of programming,  e.g. HTML, Javascript.

 

Moreover this subject allows the students to learn more on the transition of computing, the history of major computing brands, e.g. Apple, Microsoft, Google, etc. 

 

This subject is applied to students that's interested in programming, advancement in computing and the reason that they created them on the first place.

 

 

This subject is aimed to develop students knowledge and understanding and creativity in analysing, designing, developing and evaluating information and software technology solutions.

 

 

Students that choose this subject as their TAS course is expected to:

 

1 Understand the variety range of computer software and hardware

 

2 To be able to perform a proper problem solving method and also critical thinking skills in order to design and develop creative information and software technology solutions

 

3 To be responsible and aquire the knowledge of ethical attitudes related to the use of information and software technology.
