Graphics Technology

 

Graphics is a universal language and also an important tool for humans to think and communicate.

 

Graphics Technology develops in students specific manipulative and cognitive skills in using a variety of tools, materials and techniques widely available in industrial, commercial and domestic settings.

 

The most important aspect in this subject is basically to study the visualisation of three-dimensional(3D) conceptions and images and the interpretation and presentation of ideas graphically.

 

The aim of this TAS subject is mainly to is to develop in students ability to think creatively, plan solutions and present information to in a way of using variety of graphical techniques and media to audiences.

 

Objectives:

 

1 visualise, sketch (draw) and outstandingly draw different kind of shapes and objects to communicate and express this information to specific audiences

 

2 interpret, design, produce and evaluate a variety of graphical presentations using a range of manual and computer-based media and techniques

 

3 use of graphics tools  throughout designning, producing students are expected in addition to interpret and explain this computer-based graphical presentations.

 

4 select and apply techniques in the design and creation of computer-based presentations and simulations to communicate information

 

5 to understand and put in practice the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and risk management approach within the work environment

 

6 appreciate the nature and creation of graphics in industries and to understood the relationships between graphics technology, the individual, society and the environment.

 

WARNING: Some students that's colored impared can be disadvantaged from this TAS course.
