Integer is basically a whole number both can be positive and negative such as 5, 768, -234, 0.

 

Integers are stored using sequences of binary digits.

 

 

For instance, most languages that contain 2 byte or 16bit integer is able to store the whole numbers in the between from 32768 to 32767.
